The game’s open-world is very interactive, make meaningful choices as each of your choices will manipulate your journey throughout the game. Somehow you managed to escape and now want to fight back and avenge your parent’s death. Invaders stormed your village as they brutally killed your friends and family and destroyed everything. In the game, you are the son of a blacksmith.
Don’t get upset if you don’t see your favorite RPG on this list. Again, this is a personal list and personal opinion. I chose the games based on the intensity of the story, well customizable character, being able to make own decision and face the consequences, relationship between characters and immersive game-play. So I decided to make a list of the top RPG games that you can still play and enjoy. It is very hard to boil down the genre and pick only a few games. There are RPGs that are famous for their influence or other criteria. There are a hell lot of RPG games out there that deserves to be on the “best of all time” list, I know. Whenever I try to make a list for any genre I follow a few criteria. Just like Survival games, RPG's have spread out and crossed with other genres, as a result, we see First Person Shooter RPG's, Survival RPG's and the genre has become one of the very important and popular genres in PC gaming. Sure you can find sword-fights and medieval RPGs but you will also find RPG game that has modernized combats, a futuristic universe or space travel and even South Park. The genre has evolved a lot throughout these years.
